Enrolling Your Child
Starting school as a five-year-old or moving to a new school, is a big event in your child’s life. We want to make the transition to Welbourn as smooth as possible. Contacting the school office at least 6 months prior to your child starting school, gives you plenty of time to complete enrolment forms, attend our ‘Tiny Tui’ programme (for our 5 year olds) and also helps us with our forward planning. Enrolment forms can be collected from the school office or you can contact the office to be placed on our pre-enrolment list. office@welbourn.school.nz or phone 06 7575810.
All students who live within the home zone are entitled to enrol at Welbourn School.

APPLICATIONS FOR OUT-OF-ZONE Term 3 STUDENTS 2025
This notice applies to Welbourn School, which has the authority to operate an enrolment scheme to prevent overcrowding. The board invites applications from parents who wish to enroll their sons and daughters at Welbourn School, who will start in Term 3 of 2025. Details of the enrolment schemes are available from the
school office.

The deadline for receipt of applications for out-of-zone places is 3.30 pm Wednesday 30 April 2025. The board has determined that: Up to 10 vacancies in Year 0 are likely to be available for out-of-zone students starting in Term 3 of 2025. The exact number of vacancies available will depend on the number of applications received from students who live within the school’s home zone. If the number of out-of-zone applications exceeds the number of places available, students will be
selected by ballot. If a ballot is required, it will be held on Thursday 1 May with parents being informed of the outcome by Monday 5 May
